How to Volunteer at Madison Middle School

Welcome to Madison’s 2021/2022 school year!

We’re all excited to get back into the school again this year. It’s been a challenging year for Madison Staff and Families. Even though we’re back physically in the school, our volunteer program will not be running at full capacity as it has in the past. We will only be filling requests for “Essential Volunteers” meaning volunteers supporting health and safety may be used at the discretion of school administration.

By now you should have received an email from Seattle Public Schools (if you have previously registered in the SPS Volunteer Database). Please read it carefully and note these items in particular:

  1. Complete the online Health and Safety course.
  2. All school staff and volunteers must carry proof of vaccination and wear masks.
  3. Update and renew your volunteer application online in the SPS page – Current and Returning Volunteers (see link in the SPS email). If you have not previously registered as a SPS volunteer, you can complete this online application.

Please note all volunteers must be vaccinated and cleared at least 2 weeks prior to event. There will be no day of clearance, no exceptions.

Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you have about this process or volunteering at Madison.

Thank you,
