    Bulldog Reading

    1. The Bulldogs Read 20/21 list is here at last! Thanks to the help of a ton of Madison students and staff, we now have a list of 60 amazing Bulldogs Read books for next school year. 60? Yes, you read that right. Unprecedented times call for more books, hence the 60 titles this year instead of the usual 50. Get started reading them now and, if you want in on the monthly prize drawings and end of year incentives (hopefully a field trip next year AND AuthorPalooza 2.0), be sure to submit them once you're done HERE. But remember, prizes or no prizes, the Bulldogs Read list is first and foremost a place to go for great books! So get started reading today by checking out digital copies of the books from the Seattle Public Library

    2. FEATURED RESOURCES:

It's hard to know what to say and do when despicable acts of racism and violence against Black people keep happening. I am convinced that literature is part of the answer. Read any and all of these books for different insights into structures and systems of oppression and to better understand the current state of racism in our country. Read, listen, research, speak up! #BlackLivesMatter #GeorgeFloyd

    - June is PRIDE month! Pride celebrations will look different this year, but we still have fabulous books to help us celebrate, relate, connect, understand, learn about and become allies for our LGBTQIA+ communities. For a list of books within Seattle Public Library's catalog that you can check out today via LIBBY or put on hold, go to:

Also, check out The Trevor Project--the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people under 25.

     LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE!

    3. Please return all Madison Library Books and other items that belong to Madison (textbooks, uniforms, calculators, etc.) on either Wednesday or Thursday of this last week of school. There will be school staff collecting items outside the school from 9am-1pm and 3-5pm on both Wednesday and Thursday. Please return any Madison Library books that you're done reading on those designated days along with textbooks and other school items.
