    Counseling Services

    Counseling Mission

To provide a comprehensive school guidance program that delivers prevention as well as intervention services focusing on the age-appropriate developmental needs, interests and issues of our students.

    Middle Years

The Middle School years can be a challenging time for all. As counselors we are here to support our students in academics, college and career readiness, and social/emotional issues. We follow our students for all three years as they move up each grade in an effort to create consistent and meaningful relationships, and strive to make Madison Middle School a welcoming space for all students and their families.

Naviance is adopted by the SPS district and will be rolled-out with 8th graders first in Nov-Dec 2018. 6th and 7th graders will be introduced to it during second semester. If you would like to check it out on your own, your student can do so at this link (requires student login):

    4. Journeymen

Madison Middle School is excited to welcome local non-profit Journeymen Institute to our campus to offer some additional support for our male students through their highly-regarded CIRCLES program. In a safe, supportive, and empowering community of their peers, trained adult mentors, and professional facilitators, participants explore the 7 CIRCLES themes of Compassion, Integrity, Resiliency, Community, Leadership, Equity & Service as we journey toward healthy young adulthood. They also offer a unique summer program with nature-based Rite of Passage experiences. For more information, contact Sue Quigley 206-252-9132 or email
