Calling all coders and anyone who wants to use technology to change the world! In celebration of Computer Science Education Week, our school is joining in on the largest learning event in history, The Hour of Code. More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code and we want to add even more! Students (and adults) can participate any time this week by going to code.org and picking your one-hour tutorial of choice.

And this year, MINECRAFT has a new Hour of Code lesson where students will use basic coding concepts to bring two villages together. ABOOKS & BITES this week (noon on Wednesday), you can get started coding with fellow Madison students using this new Minecraft tutorial. We’ll also have some professional coders from Minecraft with us at Books & Bites to answer all your coding questions, so make sure you download the FREE Minecraft Education Edition ahead of time if you want to participate in that specific activity. We hope you’ll be one of the 100 million+ to participate!
