    Summer Curbside Book Pick-Up

Madison Middle School and the Library are super excited to provide a few days of CURBSIDE BOOK PICK-UP this summer for all current and incoming Madison Bulldog Readers! Students—you have been doing a fantastic job of accessing digital books through the Seattle Public Library and should continue to do so, but now you have the chance to check out books in print from our Madison Library for summer reading. In order to do so, you need to place books on hold (you can check out up to 10 books at a time this summer) through our Madison Online Library Catalog at least one day in advance of a scheduled pick-up day. To learn more about CURBSIDE BOOK PICK-UP and how to place books on hold using our Online Library Catalog, please watch this "Placing Holds" video

Summer CURBSIDE BOOK PICK-UP days include:

    • Tuesday, June 23rd, 3-5pm
    • Wednseday, June 24th, 3-5pm
    • Wednesday, July 29th, 3-5pm
    • Thursday, August 20th, 3-5pm

There will be a table labeled with “Book Pick-up” outside of the school when you arrive. Again, in order to reserve a book for pick-up, you need to put in your request via the Library Catalog at least a day in advance so that Ms. Bell has time to checkout and bag up your requested books. Sorry—we aren’t doing day-of requests in order to avoid a backup in the line.

Please contact Madison Librarian Ms. Bell at smbell@seattleschools.org if you have questions or are not able to make it to school to pick up your reserved books.

Special Note for incoming 6th graders: If you are an incoming 6th grader, you unfortunately cannot yet place holds in our library catalog on your own. Please check the library catalog for availability and then email Ms. Bell with your specific book requests--she will place the holds for you.
