Madison PTSA

Please join us for our monthly Madison PTSA meetings, a great way to learn more about the issues relating to what our students face at school and how to prepare them, as well as ourselves for all they may encounter. They provide a chance to meet other parents and staff and work with them on strategies to strengthen the family-school partnership.

Madison Middle School Community,

As co-presidents of the Madison PTSA, we’d like to welcome you and your
family to the 2023-2024 school year! As a couple with two children
attending Madison, we are excited to connect with you and keep building
our Bulldog community.

Our PTSA brings community together through events, parent education,
and student and teacher support. We have a strong commitment to racial
equity and work hard to ensure an inclusive school for all. The PTSA holds
three general meetings per year and coordinates with our counseling
department, the Racial Equity Team, and Madison staff. Our first general
meeting will be held on September 28th 7pm in the school library. At it,
we will have elections for board positions. Please mark your calendars!
Madison Middle School, like most public schools in Washington, does not
receive adequate funding to provide the kind of educational experience
our students need and deserve. The Madison PTSA works hard to provide
funding, volunteers, and support to help fill the gaps.

PTSA fundraising is fundamental for many needs at Madison. We work
hard to limit fundraising to two major efforts- the Back-to-School Drive in
September and the Bulldog Bash auction in the spring. These funds help
teachers provide enriched educational experiences for students by
supporting field trips, software licenses, books, art supplies, PE & lab
equipment, and much more. We also host other, smaller events like
Oktoberfest and dine-outs throughout the year but more than anything,
these events are also opportunities for our community to enjoy time
together – we hope to see you there!
We invite you to get involved!

PTSA members have a direct impact on PTSA planning and action. In line with our commitment to equity, we are offering Membership scholarships this year for anyone who needs assistance.

Yours in partnership,
Amber Zeddies & Nate Miller
