Student Activities

M.O.S.T Programs are FREE to all students and are funded by the 2004 Families and Education Levy & YMCA Partners with Youth Campaign.  Snacks and transportation are provided for those attending activities.  The main focus of this program is to build relationships with students and their families while keeping them connected to school.  This is done through a number ways, including providing students with lunch time activities, coordinating evening family events, and implementing the all-school Heroes' Mentoring Program designed to connect students with staff here at Madison.

The YMCA also offers a summer school program called Y.U. LEARN where a select group of students from Madison and the four other middle school CLC sites (Aki Kurose, Hamilton, Meany, and Washington) get to experience college life as well as work on math and language arts skills in a classroom-like setting.  A second summer program--Level 9--for current 8th graders starting 9th next school year, is offered for students going on to: West Seattle, Chief Sealth & Franklin high schools.

Roderick Booker is the main contact for this program.
